My son is 15 months old today. Each month he gets older it's hard to think of him as older. The most recent pictures I have of him are from his 1st birthday - for 1 year olds, that 3 months makes a difference. The most recent developmental update is from 10 months old - that 5 months is huge. But hoping that the 16 month mark brings EP approvals.
News on the street is that SWS EPs will be submitted today. There was rumor last week that SWS submitted, but then today we heard they are about to. Hoping to hear some good news soon! The exciting thing a friend helped me realize is that with SWS it looks like (though I could be wrong) that they tried to get all of those who sent their acceptance to Korea in 2011 to travel. Ours was sent the first week of January since we got our referral less than a week before Christmas, so that means we would be one of the top of the list for EP submission/approval and TC - can't believe those letters are even a possibility in a few short weeks!!!
I pray that you all have a blessed Easter. Praise God for New Life in Christ!
Great Blog, I'm glad I stumbled across it. We have many things in common. My daughter is headed to kindergarten this fall, and we are also waiting for a Travel Call. Our referral came right before Christmas, and we accepted on 12/28/11. Our son was born 1/20/11, so he is almost 15 months. We're also with SWS (Spence Chapin). I'll be keeping an eye on your blog, because we seems to have very similar timelines. Good Luck, and congrats on your new addition!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to talk with you. Was your son submitted in the first batch or you waiting for the 2nd? Our referral was around the same time too! Unfortunately due to Christmas our acceptance sat on a desk until January. :( But he'll be home soon!
DeleteWe were not with the first batch, so we are anxiously waiting for information on the 2nd batch. Good Luck, and hope you have a nice holiday!
DeletePraying we hear good news soon!!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend. Hope it brings some wonderful news on Monday.
DeleteJust read a few of your blog posts, and I can't believe the similarities between your experience and ours. It's been over a year since I first commented on your blog. Our son came home June 1, 2012 and turned 2 on January 21st. We've had many of the same issues and it seems like as we approach the 1 year mark of him being home, he is finally settling in and the anxiety is almost gone. Thanks for sharing your experience, it's nice to know that our experience is not unique!
DeleteHe's coming home soon!! Can't wait to see him in your arms!
