First of all - Happy Father's Day to the best husband and father out there! Thanks so much, Brian for being such an awesome husband and Daddy! You take such good care of us! Also Happy Father's Day to all of the Dads and Dads-to-be out there.
Week 6! It's been 6 weeks since fingerprinting and 9 weeks since they received our homestudy. My guess (perhaps optimistically) is that our I-171H comes next week while we're traveling. But I'm starting to think it really won't come until after 9 weeks now. Our agency now says not to bother emailing her until 9 weeks, yet it seems like most people from our agency have had to email her before receiving it (when I say most I have talked to about 3 other people so that's perhaps not a huge sample). I know poor Elisabeth waited forever to get hers. Hopefully we'll hear soon.
If there's one thing I have learned about this process is that if you want to email them to find out something, then do it. They work for you, right? There's nothing wrong with being the emotional unstable one is there??? lol :)
ReplyDeleteMe Elisabeth? Yes, we waited 11 weeks and it was awful. I cried almost every time I checked the mail the last month. But I made it thru. I really really pray yours comes this week or next. I can't believe how slow they are. No sense in it at all!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I have already told you this, but they say since they are moving where the 1-600's go, our actual 1-600 should come back in 2 weeks, not 11!! So yea for that piece of good news!
Yes - you Elisabeth! I couldn't believe how long it took for yours! I'm really hoping 2 weeks is true. That would be much better! I suppose at that end we will REALLY want thing to move quickly so we'll be thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteKala - Thanks! I'm often the one emailing, I always feel like I'm annoying people. ;) They're generally really nice about it though.
