Thankful for YOU!

My emotions have been running a bit high since Christmas and today I'm waiting to hear back from our agency with a couple of questions and hoping for an update so I'm a bit more on edge. I'm taking this time to tell you all how THANKFUL I am for the support I've received.

Yesterday I was able to see Grace and Sandra and their amazing boys. That was a blessing. Unfortunately Ella did not show her sweet self to them, hopefully next time. She's having a difficult couple of days. Hoping that ends soon! Let me tell you, it was hard to handle all the cuteness in that room Carson and Ben are just adorable and Piper wanted to be in the middle of the action. It was terrific to see! :) And I am so thankful to be building friendships with these two amazing women!

I've gotten emails, talked to some of you on facebook, and messages on my blog that have just warmed my heart! Michelle left a great one with encouragement and saying that I can lean on all of you which was a great reminder of how wonderful you all are!

Elisabeth, Sandra, Jane, Debra, Janelle, Brandi, Heather, Kelly, and Kelly, Dena, Amy, Susan, Holly - I don't know what I'd do without you guys, what an amazing support you've been!

Kelly Y - you rock! Thanks for calling! I can't begin to say how thankful I am for your friendship.

And of course, my friends and family IRL - especially H who listens to me daily! Thanks!

There are so many more that I haven't mentioned (the Elizabeths - sorry you two get stuck together, Kala, etc., etc.) - I feel bad but this post would go on forever if I named each of you individually! You all rock!

  1. I, personally, don't know how anybody survived the adoption world before blogs!!! So glad you have found so much wonderful support!

Don't forget how much support you offer to others (including me!) as well!

  2. ella was plenty sweet yesterday! :) so good to have you guys over, as crazy as things were with 3 kids and a crazy dog! :)
and yes, isn't the blog world amazing? i don't think i could have gotten through the last year without it! and i'm so thankful for the friendships it has brought me -- like you! :)

  3. Thankful for you, too!! What would we do without our blog friends...I would have gone CRAZY long before now!!! :)

  4. I love that you got to hang with Grace and Sandra and their awesome little boys! I agree with the other Elizabeth - the blog world got me through both adoptions. I don't know what I would have done without this community! And the support continues even after the fact. Such a cool thing...

  5. Christy,
I always love talking to you. I'm not as good with keeping up with everyone but with the busy schedule, I feel very bleseed with just "a few good (wo)men." Can't wait for our next playdate. Hang in there. I look forward to update to your phone call!

  6. And I am glad that I found you through the bloggy world.
I remember so well what it was like to be on the other side and just wait and wonder. But I think the wait is what makes us grow and get the chance to get to know other APs and prepare for what's ahead.
I can't wait for your time to come.

And Ella was sweet, it's not easy putting up with two toddler boys who want to eat your toys.

  7. Awwwww. Sweet post! Bloggy friends rock. We all get adoption and each other, you are a wonderful encouragement to me!!

  8. So incredibly thankful for you guys too! There have been many days in this wait where I just want to hide in my house and pout, but it's been awesome to have friends to share this with that understand all of the emotions! I cannot express enough how much I appreciate you!

  9. I have been so happy with the amount of support and encouragement that I have received through blogging. I can remember finding your blog and Elisabeth's and being thrilled to have connected with Korean adoption moms. What a blessing to be a very small part in each other's journey. And what a privilege to pray for each other's children!!

  10. I would have gone over the deep end if I didn't have everyones support. Yay for bloggy land and new friends!
